Welcome to Club Activ8

Mission Statement

We as a club and as club members are totally committed to the welfare and safety of all our members. We accept all members as they are without reservation. We respect each other and give to each other the space to grow and develop into mature self disciplined sportsman and sportswomen who will be a credit both to themselves, to the club and to their country.

We AIM to be totally inclusive - We have an epee class on Thursday mornings 10.30-12.30 at Basildon Sporting Village). This began as a class for adults with learning disabilities and is now open to all.

Child Protection. (For the purposes of Child Protection in British law a child is defined as a person under the age of 18 years.)

  1. For individual lessons, a parent will accompany and stay on site during the whole time if the lesson is outside schooltime.
  2. Parents/carers will be responsible for the actions of and safety of their child/children whilst at fencing.
  3. For matters of safety whilst fencing I will inform the parent of what physical protection is required for the child and request the parent to ensure that this is complied with.
